95mph with a trim leak that kept it from trimming up. Says 100+ was within reach if not for the leak. Still not at max ign running 32* but good improvement over the 28* , it will take 35-36* .

Damn! You've got some nice looking boats in your shop. We just left Ottawa 08/06 after a month visit. I would love to have seen you collection, if you would let me. Too late now, back in central FL. w/ temps in the mid 90's

Gary
Don't believe it's turning more than a prepped factory 96ci stacker, so that's as much as 8000+ on a full out stretch according to E&T Bill . Probably mid+ 7 with the slightly longer stroke 2.876vs2.800".
He hasn't fully dialed it in yet, ran a few days ago and had far more acceleration and punch with the added timing still more in it , plugs were good colour and lots of psi around 185+. He's able to turn a three blade faster mph than the two he had before but trim issues kept him tucked and stuck to the water at 95.Last edited by FMP; 08-16-2018 at 06:08 AM.

I've known Bill for decades, very smart man. I think he's got those Chrysler's figured. He seems to get more RPM's & HP than anyone around.

Kind of a friendly grudge match developing between the two , Bill was thinking of getting together on a visit. Chuck makes the nice polished megaphones , Bill has a set from him. I'm going to say Chucks probably has the HP edge only because of the larger carburation. Porting is pretty close except for the fingers to bottom of transfers which probably help the punch. His four carbs aren't one per cylinder as shown in previous posts but retain the original front case and 180* sharing per carb but with more cfm.
The extra displacement doesn't hurt, but Bill has built 96 99 and 103 versions.Last edited by FMP; 08-16-2018 at 09:30 AM.

No, I'd be too scared. I put Wisecos in mine, never look back. Great story though, what's that noise, what's he doing?
