I have plans from Ron Jones to build this hydro.
But I haven't decided yet what I'm building next after the Scotti. But I will be using the cnc from now on. Coping ribs and building from that point takes to long. AutoCad drawings and using the cnc makes a much easier build.

You're going to need a couple stackers and ear plugs. Cnc makes sense, any clue where the original is?

I have Molly Ballou's mids, lower units, 1250 BPs and stacks to build the Molly Bee. Don't know if the hydros are still around. Lots of people have been looking.

Built two engines for Chrysler engineering department. They were basic 140 blocks I got with no ports in them. Took two 3 cylinder front halves to make one 4 carb set up for the 4 cylinder blocks, broke multiple lower units before sending them to Chrysler.
I know toward the end Jack was running Algon fuel injection. Dad and Jack were friends I will ask if he has any photos.

I had a chat with Randy Pierson a couple months back , he also did the same . They worked a lot of R&D ,four carbs , powerflow l/u with thru hubs . Then had a talk with a Team Force guy who mentioned a few good things as well but that was in the late 80's and 90 's . The four carb Force used pumpers and ran strong , so strong that the Merc deal to take over was getting sour because of the Force showing at the races that year, so I was told. They had help from some experienced Chrysler R&D , got the race blocks from old Chrysler warranty returns in TX, never anything really wrong with the Chrysler returns and they never blew one up but did lots of R&D with them in the basement at the WI factory. Called it the skunkworks. This is a Team Force 4 carb and Bonn mid , pumpers short tuner .

04-28-2016, 08:08 PM #262I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

FMP yes on the blocks they were ported more like an omc with 3 exhaust ports, I dont remember what port timing I used. They were the production units of that time. I meet the guys from Texas one year at the nationals, they told me what they were running and it sounded like one of the blocks I had done or at least ported the same.
Dad is checking if he has any pictures of the Algon set up.
Thanks Gary I was lucky to get to do projects like this and some of them for OMC it was what kept things interesting for the 40 plus years I worked on them.

Removed one of the bridges in and out , square the transfers as well ? A man in Lake Charles just bought 4 Chrylsers from the same seller, one 115 and three 140s all solid motors , powerflow l/u . I'm waiting to hear back what the project is .These were stock motors from what I was told.
Tim Wellborn MuscleCar Museum , if you look at the left side of the pic you will notice a 71 Conqueror Shallow Vee with a 120 on it. You can't see the 120 but you can see a couple more Chrysler right behind the cowl of the 120. This boat is an original , run 4 times and stored inside since new. Not bad .

Any life left in it, have you run it ? They work well if you set them up right . I'd love to spend a couple hours on a fresh one tuning , jetting , timing.
