    Foam sheet or pourable foam?

    Hi Guys,

I experimented with a foam core with a density of 50kg/m³. I used a foam sheet of 1cm thick. I putted 1 layer of 300gr/m² csm and 300gr/m² rooving on each side but i was not impressed.

Now I wonder if it is better to use 2K foam instead of the foam sheets? The can says the 2k pourable foam is 220kg/m³.

Can I compare both values or not? So is the strength of 1kg/m³ of the foam sheet the same as the pourable foam?

There is a visible difference between both: the pourable foam is more porous. It has a lot bigger cells. The foam sheet has very very small cells. It's also easier to crush the foam sheet to dust than the pourable foam....

How strong is the pourable foam actualy? Can it be compared with fe coose of the same density?

I dont have access to coosa, airex etc. Only to honecombs and (cheap) foam.

    Thx!

I was planning on filling both sides against next to the tunnel roof. So like a stringer but than against the side of the tunnel. Should be about 1.5" thick and 3.5" high, about 17 foot long.
