Do you use some type of boat or just sit on top of the cowling?

I am glad this finally hit the forumes, I have always said a F150 Yammi on an Allison would be wounderful, but I guess it is like owning a Harley, you got to make sum noise LOL.

I have ran a F150 Yammi on my XR2001. The motor was bone stock including the lower unit. I ran it to 83-84mph and quit since there was no cone on the lower. It had much more in it, but I ran out of time to play with it and pulled it off to put on my 260
It was wierd hearing the water slap the bottom of the boat over the sound of the engine.
Oh and I ran for several hours on 6 gallons of 87 octane

Well, the numbers seem to work - congratulations are due on your efforts.

I have a Honda BF50 that easily pushes my 16 foot aluminum center console to 40mph, and can easily plane out 6 people with same prop.

When Honda, Yamaha, or whomever offers a relatively lightweight, mid-horsepower (100-150) gas sipper engine, that's what will be on my wood boat.
