E-tec LU
I have a friend that just bought a 2008 225 etec with a lightning case. He has another lightning case from an older looper that he would like to have low water pickup put on. Will it fit his etec?

It fits, but the drive shaft is about 7/16" shorter on the older case. Does anyone know the insertion depth of a E-Tec drive shaft? Would hate to tell him to run it and mess up the splines in the crank, if it is not deep enough. Thanks

I am not authority on it, but at 7/16 difference, I think I would swap the drive shafts.

If the unit was for a 1992 or newer 200 hp up it would have the same shaft

Don't know the year of the Looper. I think it he can wait, until his other LU is ready. Thanks.
