Congrats to all the winners, they earned it.No excuses,I just couldn't get dialed in. I got to finally meet Jay & Kathy Smith( Thought he'd be taller),Supper nice guy and informative, willing to share advise. He spent alot of time on phone with customers, thats good business, probably needs to start an advise hot line! ie, Jay while out detailing my boat,my GF came out wearing a slinky nightie and said to quit wasting my time! Do you think she ment to use paste wax instead or may-be a buffer????

thanks for the pics rocket. that was first round qualify on saturday, after denise and kenny gave us a fuel pump, and we relized the motor had been starving for fuel, we added 80lbs of sand and we still ran an 8.71 @ 100.00 mph in a thousand feet. it is a RACERS RACE. loking foward the one in okalahoma next year. now that we understand the "WEIGHT GAME"
IT'S ON!!!!

Thanks to all the racers and fans that made SITC another great event in a tough year.
The water was not as pretty with the cloud cover as far as pictures were concerned, but the water was "Good" for the boats. Jon Wright might have totaled his hydro on one of the timing lights. On a prior run he had a "LITTLE" explosion, check the fire and flame under the cowl! A flat bottom veered in front of the clock in front of the other boat lane, no contact. The next day he drove out the end of the course and veered into the woods at a point of land. The boat is not in real bad shade, fixable. His knee was really busted up, plates, cadaver bone pieces, screws, etc.
For those of you that have not been here at SMOKIN IN THE COVE, do make plans for next year!

Back to the ole Houston heat and humidity.. Those folks that live where the humidity is less than 50 % just don't know how lucky they are !!! On Sunday we even got COLD during the finals..
