Homemade shifter
I ordered the knob and shift lever off of ebay for about $50. Got an old style throttle shifter box that used a 1/2-20 thread for the handle to make what is shown here. Real easy.

Looks great! Where did you get the carbon fiber pieces from?

Thanks for the compliments guys.... The carbon fiber was some scrap pcs. that I scrounged from a friend of mine.... It's available on the internet fairly cheep. I was looking for a nice shifter for my boat and everything was over my price range. Came up with this out of desperation. I only use the shift for now. Foot pedal for throttle. May make a "cruise controll" addition later on...I have about 75.00 in the whole thing..

The shifter still works great, and I have gathered parts/engineered a cruise control for it. But have been working on switching motors,lowers/props around and really just am having so much fun running it I have not installed it. The foot throttle (hot foot) is so smooth, I am able to just lay my foot on it without any fatigue. CC Would be nice for longer runs tho. The homemade controll is cool, but the slide mount for the stereo is what really turned out to be the best thing I came up with imo. I have been trying to break the boat for a few months now, and it's still not cracking any where. I thought for sure I could break it with the 3.0, but it's still hanging tough. I designed my transom reinforcements a little diff. than most, it allows big fuel and still has room on the corners for anything you want to rig/carry back there. Thanks for the compliments....
