Is a 2005 xs cowling plastic lightweight or heavy fiberglass ?
Thanks in advance , i'm about to buy a 250 xs cowl and pans online and want to be sure i'm buying the plastic lightweight version , it is from 2005 250 xs.
Also are all 250 and 300 xs ever made use lightweight plastic cowls .

The ones I have are light, made of thin plastic- so don't drop em. I don't know about other years, mine are 2005's.

how much do they weigh ? Much lighter than a F/G cowl ?

Yes it should be lightweight plastic. My 2008 225SportXS (only 2008 because the sale was made Aug. 07) is technically a 2005 225 SportXS which was the first year for the 225XS, the engine was bought new from Bullet Boats and had been in their warehouse since new. In fact when I pulled the cowl the first time I noticed a sticker inside the cowl that is the part# with the description "250XS" on it. Same cowl for those engines. Unlined, lightweight plastic.
