Is This a Bridgeport???
I have a power head date stamp 12-3-91 serial # 927885 and want to know if this is a Bridgeport and if not what is it.

it has slosh tubes on the carbs, it could be a SST140 BP powerhead someone switched to RH rotation. pull a plug out and look for the bridge. when mercury switched to the sst120's the class died out, there were alot them floating around.

I just looked at the block again and there is a stamp sst 140 tg-2 Are these good powerheads?? Any thing I should be checking to make sure it will be reliable?? I allready bought the boat with this motor. The mid, clamp and the one piece adapter are from a 1986 BP.

should be fine, they were a BP block with a 10 petal front half, 1750 (big) rods w/sps bolts, carbs had floatbowl stuffers and the slosh tubes. Should have a LW flywheel, but it may have been changed when switched to RH rotation. nice boat

Was a great engine for me.

probally has no thermostats and just a plate and a hose where the poppet valve was, probally won't make over 5-7psi. but should be fine

The 2 pics above are two different motors. Top picture is not a Bridgeport. Bridgeport motors are 2.4.
