    Yamaha ProV 200 Power Trim??????

I have a 1991 Yamaha ProV 200 that the power trim won't hold the motor up when at rest or on the bouy. It dosn't seem to be leaking any fluid, and only take about 15 minutes to lower itself. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

I have a 1996 that was doing the same thing. I'm not sure if yours is built like mine but here is what fixed mine.
Trim the motor all the way up. Look at the left side (port side) of the pump towards the bottom, mine has what looks like a huge flathead screw, remove it and there is a valve just behind it, mine had a small piece of trash holding it open, I also replaced the o-rings on this same valve just for the heck of it while I had it apart.

    Hope this helps.
