    water pressure erratic....

tonight, I replace the H2O impeller. I don't run on the hose often and the hose might have had some kinks in it, but it seemed to be providing more than enough water. Again...I don't run on the hose often and don't look at the water pressure gauge unless boat is actually in the water...except for tonight.

The pressure gauge seemed somewhat erratic and varying in reading. It sounded like the rpm was fluctuating a little, but I don't feel enough to make gauge move back and forth between 5-12 psi. Maybe poppet is acting up. Didn't leave running for more than 2 minutes. Pee hole was not consistent since thermostats had not fully opened. Possibly had too much water pressure from hose...

it will on a hose....not enough volume nor is the supply as constant as it is in the water. Try backing it down in the water and try it. It should be constant at anything above around 2000 rpm.

You were exactly right Eagle One...pressure was more steady than ever once in the lake. A solid 5psi at idle. Around 15-17 at most speeds. Never got to WOT since I had kids with me tubing most all day long. VERY steady pressue like I've never seen before (owned this engine for 2 years).
