That is a lot of work and thought. Good luck sounds like you have a solid plan.

Took my dash apart. Didn't care for the diamond plate look. Steering wheel is too high too.

I like the dash and no splash well. I had bought a sheet of white plexi-glass for mine too.

Looks great Aaron! I had been mocking up the same idea to "update" the look of these boats. There isn't much need for the splashwell as most of the '22s are rigged with a jackplate. I still don't "love" the installation of the back seat and mini sun pads, but dont have The fix either... It's the only part of the boat that I thought could have been done better. My project, which is a close twin to Aaron's, took a big step backwards last month. Soggy transom. I had cut out the knee braces and splashwell to rework them only to affirm my suspicion.... Now everything is out and I have a clean slate. Lots of work but at least I know what I will have... -Eric

That's how my project started was the transom knees then the transom and its kept going from there.I do really like the built in cooler in the floor, sure helps from a cooler sliding around.I think buy moving the tank back and running less setback helped on the porpoising I was having.I had trim tabs I also removed. My original knee braces were fairly small.By eliminating the splash well I was able to run them up much higher making them far more effective.I glass them as well as through bolted them.I would say it wasn't a easy project. However its starting to cone together.Hopefully I'll see some speed increase with the new motor, although my 250xs did run real strong.

Didn't get quite as much done this weekend as i had hoped.I wanted verify everything 100% so I completely cleaned vst,new plugs and filter.I did find the linkage wasn't allowing full throttle so off came the vst to do some adjusting.I then installed the DBR 1.1 kit and she came to life. After work this week I'll finish the steering, should have her ready for the water soon.
