Well our baby girl arrived 2/2/13, 9lb ,3oz 21"s.We just recieved her new life jacket so shell be ready to go for this summer she loves the water already even at 2 weeks old......As far the boat goes I removed the 250xs and will be cleaning up the transom a bit before the 300xs goes on.I did manage to pull the ecu off the 300xs and get it in the mail to DBR today.I will be removing the guages and figuring how I will be flush mounting the garmin gpsmap.I will be running bare basics as far as the gauges go since I have smartcraft that covers most needed info.Lots of time on my hands right now since Im house bound a bit.I couldnt be happier

Congrats on the your new 1st mate! ....and the new 300xs. You have a great year started! I don't know what garmin you have , but I ordered the flush mount kit for my garmin 440s that I plan on transferring back and forth from the family boat to the velocity. I think it was around $30.00. It was available from the garmin website. M

can anyone tell me the measurement from the bottom of the boat not pad to the motor well cutout i am converting to out board going to bite the bullet and build a motor well i thought i saw a 22 velocity with a 25" transom picture on here some where wondering if building the motor well to accept a 25" motor would effect handling seems like the 20" sits very close to the water

Finally have been able to get a start on our boat.I will be basically rewireing it completly, its a mess to say the least.I will be changeing the dash and istalling a Garmin gpsmap 431s ,livorsi tach, fuel, voltage and water psi.I will be haveing the transom regelled since I change alot of things last summer and never had the chance to finish it 100%.After all the wireing is done I have a 300xs with a DBR 1.1 kit on it ready to be installed.I hope to see high 70s everyday and low 80s on better days.Last year I gained alot of handling back bringing the jackplate in 2"s.I was able to do so by removing the excess weight of mirrors and such in the bow.I redid the transom, built larger knee braces, changed the splash well so all bolts are on the inside as well as moved the tank back 6"s and built a in floor cooler.I hoped to do new interior this summer as well but I just dont see the wife going for that.I hope to be boat in a month or so,then Ill be back to the drwing board on props since im going for 1.75 to 1.62 gears.
