Thanks Mikey ! I'll take that as a compliment! It was pretty calm that day we ran and since Berzerko (Bobby) was along for the first time he wanted to see how it ran compared to his Challenger. Glad we could play catch up to you.

I am so glad we met you to show me through the "S" curves to Freeport. For The Great South Bay, that is invaluable knowledge right there! Your boat looks Great Mikey ! Just like off the showroom floor.

I'm sure bobby is just pulling your leg Mikey. Hehe
And everyone can work a prop slip Calculator so I'm sure it's not hard to figure out.

But the real question is WHO is going to make it to the Conn. river run next weekend???? We hope more will give in and come ...It's going to be the best long day you ever had boating period !!

Finally some one has a soft spot in there heart for kids. I was starting to think I was the only one. I know I always see pictures of vnemous out with his son, thought he would like it too.
Anyway my plan is to make it back up here for Sunday. A few of us are going in John Godfreys Skater that he just got. We have a little trip planed first though. Were hoping on a plane for West Palm Thursday after work to see the Offshore Championships. Looking forward to seeing Walters 40 Sutphen (TKO) and also Jason and John Saris in the 27 Kryptonite. But are plan is to skip Sunday and come back for the run. See you guys there unless some TSA worker starts messin with my junk, I punch him out and spend the weekend in jail.

Great stuff, still figuring out the velocity 22 that i bought....was having an issue getting on plane and started to really look at this setup. It seems as if the prior owner put on a 15" mid and with the jackplate all the way down, the shaft is about even with the bottom of the pad....my question is, with this velocity 22....does this shaft need to be a few inches lower coming out of the hole to get on plane? I also pulled the plugs out of the tempest 3 blade (its a dog out of the hole) until I get on plane...then it over revs for 20 seconds of feathering, but it has the offshore exhaust so I dont think any exhaust is making it to or through the holes to help spin it up. Any advice on whats going on...I appreciate it!!

i had my prop shaft even with the pad and with a 3 blade lazer 2 prop i had to have the motor trimmed way down to get it to take off, with a chopper on it wasnt a problem getting on plane

I will post pics tonight hopefully....i put the jackplate all the way down, and the shaft is about even with the bottom of the boats pad. It doesnt make sense to me, but I feel like if I put the jackplate all the way down, the shaft should be at least 3 inches below the pad. If I jack the plate all the way up, it is about 6 inches above the pad....i have a lwp on a sm, but i dont think anything over 1-2 inches above the pad is going to be of benefit! Also, based on the angle of the jackplate (6" Bobs) if i trim the motor all the way down, the angle of the motor ends up being about 20 degrees negative. I can drop the motor down two holes and thats all the adjustment that I have...maybe 2 inches max. What are your guys thoughts?
