Let me start off by saying thanks for all of the good information and comments about the 22's. I am going to run my new to me 2004 22 velocity (formerly modvp's) this weekend. Lucky for me I think he already has this one dialed in. It has a 99 250 efi and I will be starting my education with a 24 trophy 4 blade.

How deep is your motor? If its to low it can chinewalk. What steering do you have and is there any slop in it?Do you have solid motor mounts? My wife can literaly put the throttle down and trim it up into the 70s.This is by far the easiest hull ive ever driven.

I did just buy it. I knew the owner. He used it on Sacandaga Lake. I may have seen the video. I'll check it out. Thanks.

    Is this the same video?

Is this your first V-bottom that will go this fast? If it is yes they do walk until you get some seat time.

These boats aren't that light. My battery is on starboard and so am I when driving. I would just drive it. Don't over compensate when it walks. You will get it.

Yeah that is the video... boat looks good runnin. As far as driving, practice makes perfect and any time you can even out the weight it will help some.

i jacked the motor up more and got some more seat time in it and the chine walk is hardly noticeable and i can counter steer out of it now, got it running 69 with a bone stock 2.5 200 fishing motor spinning a 24p chopper at 6k

Sounds good! I still have to get used to mine too. Had a cat for quite a few years. Always have a bunch of people too. Huge difference running alone with sideways wakes coming at you and no chop. Makes it fun.

Anyone have any updates on there boats?I hear Navispeed has a new 300xs on his.Ive been addresing alot of things ive wanted to change since I first bought the boat.I should have some pics up in the next few we.I will say I was kinda shocked by the knee brace size when I started looking into some changes.I have added a built in cooler between the front seats.I also changed the seat mounts on the front seats,as well as made the porta potty spot into a storage locker with hinges.Speaker boxes have been redone as well.I have some other incedentle things ive done, but ill wait to get finished for the pics.I basically have made the boat more useable for us to enjoy and how I think I would of ordered it.
