Thanks Mikey really appreciate your input I will do that.
You guys know the new boat expectations
It's an 80 mph boat gotta hit 80
Well got it to hit 80 yesterday (now that I know that I can focus on repeating that and in control)
Have not had the time to put in consistently.....family constraints etc.
Looking forward to getting some back to back consistent runs and seat time in the coming weeks
Lots of new to me gadgets to get used to (maybe too many lol)
Foot Throttle,Paddle Trim, Hydraulic Jack Plate, Smart Craft guage.
I understand what they do and love the ability to adjust and monitor everything.
However truthfully with all the variables I need time to figure out how all these affect one another.
I feel like a kid in a candy store.
How about a little of this, a little of that.
That new boat fever!
I know I just need to sit back relax take my time and work on it.
I really am l looking forward to you guys helping me have a really fast yet safe ride.
Thanks Again12 Velocity 220 - 12 Mercury 300xs

Limitless, very nice set up, the pictures are great--the front seats are awesome.
I am looking to upgrade to something bigger, like a 280 (26) outboard velocity.

Looks great, Limitless. That interior is super nice-looking. What is your floor surface?

The chinewalk, purposing may also be from a lack of seat time... as you become more comfortable with the boat you learn how to correct these issues without even realizing that you are doing so.... If you broke 80 on your first day out, I would set your goals on the 85 mark!

The 26 is an awesome boat you should talk to Kenny at Velocity.
The Velocity Family at the factory is great to work with.
Everything you see is the collective effort of their team executing something I wanted but with experienced know how.
I have admired the 22's since the early 80's
Now I finally have a dream boat.
PS: I'll get some more detailed pictures in the coming daysLast edited by limitless; 02-22-2012 at 07:21 AM.

Thanks
The flooring is what Velocity calls SST flooring color white, also available in different colors.
Its similar to what you see at airports on the stairs raised non skid nickel sized circles in a very durable vinyl material.
I've also heard it called Pirelli flooring.12 Velocity 220 - 12 Mercury 300xs

Yeah seat time is the answer.
It was the first day to really try to get a number.
We got it ,but not with any consistent control
Thats what i need to do
Thanks for the vote of confidence though12 Velocity 220 - 12 Mercury 300xs

Good luck with the new rig Limitless. That's one of the nicest new 22s I have seen. I like the solid white with subtle graphics, and the interior is beautiful. that speed for a first time out is also very encouraging. Have fun!

Jamesgang...buy chance does your floor cooler have a mfg name on it anywhere?does it drain out the bottom into the bilge?
-

No its just a fiberglass and gelcoated box dropped in between bulkheads. drains back to bilge but you can put a plug in it if you want to retain the water if desired.

Here is a picture of mine before we glassed in the center section of flooring, if this is of any help to you. Don't know about your year but on the few I have worked on which were all 1985 & 6 the floor is glassed from stringers to outside of boat and then the center section of floor is glassed in last. If yours is like mine you should be able to lift the carpet, see the seam and take out the center section of floor. Pretty easy once you get started.
