The OB4 that you're referring to is that full thru hub exhaust? or does the exhaust pass both over and thru? or completely over?

    Thanks Again for your input
Just another opinion here but for a great every day prop you might try a Bravo I with PVS vent holes in 24 or 26. It will give you great handling, great hole shot, strong mid range and carry the load extremely well. It would be close in performance to the OB but easier to find a used one around to try out.

Thanks for your speedy reply I was out of town this week end sorry i did not get back with you
The revs w the 26 are around 6k w speeds and planing affected by the load.(light 2 people ,heavy 4 people, fuel between 1/2 and 3/4 80gal tank I know now)
I will get some accurate #'s this week I plan on spending some quiet time at the local lake and making accurate notes .
I also saw Steve and Kenny of Velocity last weekend and borrowed a Bravo 1 24 pitch without the vent holes(what was available).
I'm hoping that some precise testing of this with a full load will give me some direction.
I'm also hoping to get some #'s with a 28 pitch Hydromotive with a lighter load also (waiting on some PVS plugs for this for fine tuning).

Thanks man all this info is really appreciated.
Coincidental I borrowed the prop you mentioned from Velocity this weekend.
No PVS holes but I should get a general idea.
    Thanks Again

Its still up in Long Lake. We have been working on the bottom of his Checkmate the last few weeks. Next weekend were going up to put our docks in the water and will bring it back home and get started. He did pick up a jack and has been attempting to piece together a Latham steering system. We have plenty to do before the romp and only a couple weeks from when we get it home. He may be taking the Checkmate to the romp this year if were still in the middle of getting it set up. Sorry no new news, we kind of got a slow start on things this spring.

What year is that, Big? Paint and vinyl graphics or all paint?

    Good luck with it.

Sorry to hear about your slow start... weather I am sure has been an issue. Ran some old gas out of mine and put a swim platform on... I know totally uncool!!! Waiting for some nice weather when I am off , want to raise the motor to the last hole and try it. With the old gas and super smooth water saw 73mph on a G.P.S. so with some chop I am hoping for some more. I think I can go to a 28 pitch when by myself or with one other person and still get all of the rpm's out of it but need to try the lift first. Have a safe trip and get that Velocity in the water. The Romp is still a bit question mark for me I will probably leave early Sunday morning if anything.
