DFI Outboard Oiling
How are the bearings lubricated on direct injected 2 stroke outboard motors? Is there any major difference in the systems used on Optimax, Etec and HPDI engines? Which system would be most reliable at high RPM?

Merc 250XS/300XS are both reliable hi-po motors. Oil is shot onto the crank and bearings. Some goes to the top bearing and air pump. They scream and have a 5 year warranty... Would be my 1st choice. ..They all have diff. systems. 6500 rpm's are the max for most dfi motors. Fuel econ. is also the best with the mercs..
