That is an awesome old school boat and one anyone could be proud of. So far I think between the two of us we have the oldest and most likely the slowest boats on the site. Mine is the same red with a hint of orange and soon to have white interior with red piping.
They both look fast sitting on the trailer or tied up so we have half the battle won
Just out of curiosity, what would you want for it?

Karsten,
That is an AWESOME little boat you have there
Slowest boats, thats is probably very true and funny
Thanks for the very kind words, the pictures really do not do justice to the work I have owned it for many years but never used it
I would like to get $7500.
The paint, transom and deck work alone was $4100.
For an additional $500 I would include a 1962 short shaft 40HP White Johnson with extra prop and original controls.
If someone was really interested I have a huge list of custom options and work that have been done to it
BTW, I could also have it brought to someone by Frank Mole no problem

Those are both very cool and different boats. I am in the midst of restoring a 14` 1959 Sea Fury. It has huge tailfins like the cars of the fifties, and will be powered by a `61 75 Evinrude Starflite. Extreme speed isn`t everything. I have a raceboat for that.

Mfg
Actually there is a story behind that old MFG. It was my father's boat and it sat out in his back yard for years. A couple of years ago my friend's cousin happened to stop by and asked about the boat. My father told him he could have it for a couple hundred bucks.
Jeff towed it out of there and totally restored the boat. Rebuilt the transom, fabricated a new windshield, new seats, new hardware, wetsanded the gel coat, etc. He also bought a new trailer since this pic.
Jeff is the frugal type. Loves the boat. He probably has about $1,700 into it and runs around all day on $10 worth of gas.David

I still have work to do on it, sand and paint the bottom white, put in the gunwall cushions, buff and wax, mount rear seat and screw down and latch sun pad, glue down carpet, attach new outdrive but when all down it should kick out pretty well.
