Ok, any of you guys have pictures of the 1PC adapter under the opti powerhead? Specifically how the water gets up to the motor and compressor. Do the 200XSs have poppets? How do they dump water?

I would love one. Did a fair bit of investigating.

15" mid has limitied trim range
They will not put one on a 175 pro leg.

They will sell a converstion kit to put on your current leg

    Powerhead list $9,200
    ECU list $2,100
Tuner Didnt say if it was needed
Adapter plate, did not get price

No plans to put it into production.

If a complete changover kit was $9,500.00 it would make a guy just. You would have to buy one an part it out to make it work on a bassboat like mine..

    I am guessing
    16,500 motor
minus offshore mid, sell for 2K
    Sell my HNR cowling $800
    the short sporty $2K

And you are money are money ahead if the correct adapter plate and tuner cost more than a couple hundred dollars..Really wish this motor on a 175 proxs mid replaced the 200 3.0 liter (older version powerhead) and 225 proxs (newer stronger powerhead)...They are more fuel efficient so why are they not doing it......

Why does the 15" Mid have limited trim? Do they install a short ram on it? easy enough swap if so... My ROS mid has the long ram and it'll trim up enough to smash the cowling and intake into the hull.

Yes they have a poppet and t-stats. The plate is pretty much identical to the one piece 225 pm plates. Water is fed off the top of the block.

yeah it has the short trim ram. I found out about the trim part from jacos as they were supposed to put one on an xb221 this spring and the trim was an issue so they sent it back and put a pro xs on.

I spoke with some race tuners that said if I started racing and they were able to work the motors a 175 pro xs still wouldn;t touch the early gen 1's. They can add some HP and they will make power only to about 6400.

The tuners said they can get more out of gen 1's and gen 2's makeing them even stroner.

A raised limiter on a 175 proxs make be OK but my boat is big. 1450 lbs. I don't like the idea of a 515 lb motor if something in the 450 lbs range is adequate and more fuel efficient.

I would rather be quicker to 80 with a killer holeshot than run high 80/low 90's with something that lugs outta the hole.

I have a 200 XRI and am motor dumb, is my adapter plate the same as the ones on a promax? If so that lessons the parts needed to powerhead, ECU and tuner and they did not confirm the tuner of my motor was/is and issue.

The way he said list led me to believe dealers could still make money selling them for less than that......

    Capt, I PMd you.

I'll start a thread about it when I know what I'm doing with my particular OptiMax will work. Otherwise I'll throw down my GIJoes, go home and sulk.

That is interesting data on the Gen 1 200XS producing 210hp on the dyno. Do you happen to know if that dyno pull was done in the US? I know that our friends across the pond have tested them but I have never heard a dyno pull being done in America with our crappy fuel. The last Gen 1 200XS out the door was bought by Allison and it yes it was a 2006 build.

You guys think the 2005 and 2006 200xs have the stronger 2.5 xs power head and ecu or no?

Hmmm thought maybe a 2006 would be the perfect combo. I want one in the worst way but won't be able to pull the trigger for at least 12 months

My theory is they can't make it a production unless they call it a 225due to out put and if they call it a 225 they can't market them in Europe where they are actually popular...

maybe they could bring it out as 200 if the limiter was at say 6400 or 6500.

Can you snap a few more pics? From the opposite side and the top? I already see a few differences in the water vs the one from my 280...
