The more I read, the more you guys turn me on to this stuff. That's a heckuva collection of I6's, make anyone jealous to own that much old iron (or aluminum). Baldad, you mocked up that cowling? It looks great if you did, thing is, you could run that and probably 80% of the people wouldn't know it wasn't an XS 150. Anyway, back to the boat. Did a lot of reading yesterday and today, learned a lot. The guy I bought the boat from told me the pack was bad. Or so I learned today, it is called the start control box or something, power pack is an OMC term.
Anyway, I don't think he was the sharpest tool in the shed, because the control box was apart in the floor of the boat. Anyway, I have the original box, gonna put it back on, run compression, if that is good, check spark and go from there. Watcha think?

Not as clean as that one ,setup and ran last summer ,still working out the bugs. I've seen pics of that motor on here before , interested in the ADI setup as there are no belts available , picked up the parts for the conversion off ebay just need to sort out the linkage .

Keith ,for a $100 or less you can buy any part on ebay for that motor ,I bought a brand new control box with trim in the handle last year for $80 in a new unopened box,Go for it!

Could be awhile though...Thom laid up with back problems, and I aint no bargain either..slammed my shoulder 5 weeks ago, still doing mostly stuff left handed. Hopefully we both will be off the injured list my summer, or both us will go bonkers!
This getting old aint for wimps!
