    Rev Limiter‏

    <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> Hello

    Do anybody know how to open the ECU ((Rev Limiter)) ?

    becuase in my evinrude 250ho 2009 I have only 6000 Rpm in full throttle

    Or someone can be able to open the ECU ((Rev Limiter)

    Please help me and I would be grateful to you

    if you only have.............

    6000 wot you are not on the limiter yet.........it is at 6250

    what you mean , the 4800-6000 is the RPM range in which the motor is allowed to run at WOT for Model 2010. Recommended from BRP is 5500-5600 for model 2009 ( http://www.hobbycaptain.at/ETEC/E-TE..._RPM_chart.jpg ) .

    But, this does not mean that Rev.Limiter is 5800 or 6000.
    There is a very good explanation of Rev Limiter here .
    +1 what AwsomeBullet wrote about ETEC Revlimiter - this is named Softlimiter and Hardlimiter. The Softlimiter begins at 5850 and adds additional oil, at 6200 it begins to take back ignition timing and fuel. only the hardlimiter at 6400 then cuts of ignition and/or injection.

    But, this does not really help you, you want to increase or switch off the Rev Limiter in the ECU. Discussion about the limit itself will not really be helpfull.
