That picture is actually my friends 30. I've heard all sorts of top ends for the 28 anywhere from 108-120. My 28 runs 108-110, thats set up for everyday use with the 2.5s. I have to use that number for a comparison test, so its about 7mph slower on average and as you can see its alot bigger boat and handles quite rougher water.

From what I've read on offshoreonly, that seems right for your setup.

This is a 30 page thread where the owner tests nearly every prop combo possible, check it out...

I read an article on the 30 Skater at the Miami show. They said it weighed 2900 lbs bare hull. My 30 Liberator weighed the same. Both are HUGE compared to the 28 Skater.

Skater is 30' 7" with a 9' beam. Motion is 30' with a 9'1" beam. So it seems the Motion is faster with the same power. I just bought a 30' Motion that I am rigging with twin 300 ProMaxs. I fully expect to run just north of 100 mph. Similar setups are running 101-103 mph. I would also expect with 300X(S) motors it would run much faster. Maybe the 30 Skater has a lot more freeboard to be so much heavier at 2900 lbs? My Motion is 2400 lbs.

A 30 Motion with only twin 300 promax runs 101 running Mercury Lab 34 x 15 four blade. The 300Xs is a lot more engine than a promax. Call Herring Props and check out the five blades the racers are running. Bravo Ones have no place on a cat outboard engine. Not a surfacing prop. Use Mercury four blade cleavers 34 X 15 or the Herring five blades.
Read the Mercury Racing web site re Bravo 1 uses and try a set !!! As an all round prop .

You are kidding right? Bravo 1 props on a outboard Skater? You must have the engines buried in the water. Round ear props give too much bow lift on a good air trapping cat like a Skater.

I ran 32"x15" Bravos on my 30 Liberator. Top speed at 5950 was 97. Speed at 4000 was 62 mph.

3 Blade 32"x15" cleavers ran 96.8 and only ran 53 at 4000 rpm

Bravos work best all around on most of the bigger outboard cats I've tried. The props are also 1.25" above te bottom. Much smoother and less slip and tons better getting on plane!

On a fast cat with proper lift in the tunnel, the bravos develop way to much transom lift This will require a ton of trim to get the bow to lift and a way loose boat and probably dangerous as well ....... but I could be wrong but this is my experience

My friend runs a 30 Spectre and I also run a 27 Eliminator. The Bravos aren't necessarily the fastest, but seem to be the best all around. We didn't really like them on the full tunnel 25 Talon though.

Your eliminator does not have much bow lift and is a little on the heavy side, I am not real sure about the spectre some of those seem to go well what speeds are those two boats getting?
