True, yes the controler is set up detuned. And yes they are running the brushless motors with a seperate ESC. Not sure of the exact setup, but there doing it with good results I guess. On helifreak.com guys have links to the components. They are also going with different gyros and getting better performance, so they say.

I'm far from a great RC heli user, but I like the SR the way it is. I don't think I would have any complaints about the SR unless I was a pro at using them. And believe me, I'm a long way away from that.

Here it is people, the fixed-pitch heli everyone has been waiting for... It's a fully updated version of the Walkera CB180D, with brushless power and a shaft-driven tail rotor powered off the main motor. It's electronically stabilized, which is a first for a heli this small and inexpensive. I want to try this one out as fast as I can.

I did some rotor head adjustments on my CB180D and it flies better than ever. Super stable and forward flight is very fast now. Someone else bought a Madhawk 300 on this thread, how did that work out?

F-18
Someone left one of these at my door yesterday
This thing is way bigger than i expected , lots of air resistance so maybe it wont smash in to the ground as hard as my Rotofly did
Gonna put it together this weekend and start practicing on the simulator....
I am confident i can fly this thing so stay away PyroRon Paul 2012 Because its an election, not a Cult...

If you can fly other aileron planes, you can fly that one. It's just a lot faster.

Just a heads-up to everyone that flies helicopters or planes, be very careful! Some idiot in Tampa was flying a T-Rex 500 in a public park, and it hit this girl and cut her up really bad. The heli flyer is blaming the electronics, of course but I'm betting if he's dumb enough to fly such a large helicopter in a public park, he's dumb enough not to know how to control it.

What pisses me off even more is, apparently some of the flyers left the park when she was hit --- leaving her there to bleed on the ground. That makes my blood boil.

Always some jackasses making fools of themselves to screw it up for everybody else! It is very cool they are helping her with donations. I just hope the media and the Government dont use it to take away yet MORE of our freedoms......
I got harassed for driving my RC boats not long ago where there was nobody around and i do mean NOBODY in a retention pond. I was told by the police i wasn't supposed to be out there and it was city property. I looked in to things myself and found out it was owned by the County Flood Control District and was FEE OWNED property and the police had no business telling me i wasn't supposed to be out there.
I contacted the Sr. director of the property and explained the situation and he told me i had every right to be out there and he even sent me a letter saying i could drive my RC boats out there knowing full well what they were. He also explained in the letter as long as i wasn't dumping trash or bringing motorised vehicles on the property (meaning vehicles that transport a person) dirt bikes, ATVs, Trucks etc it was totally legal for me to be there, drive my RC boats, fish...whatever. The part of the letter i like the best sais and i quote ( If any parties feel that they have jurisdiction over the **FCD's FEE property, feel free to have them contact Mr. ********* at ******* or myself. In fact, the **FCD encourages the use of the "Green Space" that our facilities provide)
When i contacted the Police Department to tell them about the letter from the property director and find out why they ran me out of there when they had no Jurisdiction to do so and ask why the police told me it was city property they proceeded to get offended and tell me that they have had a couple of stabbings out there (BS) and a rape.. NOT! I told them that if i needed their help i would call them and that i didn't need them to protect me from myself and hung the phone up....... Story's like this just give them another excuse to ruin sombody's day! Dont get me wrong, i dont hate cops but there are ones out there that for some reason just like to mess things up for people....Ron Paul 2012 Because its an election, not a Cult...

Well since I just won the helicopter from Greg and Xheli.com I suppose I will be hooked as well. My daughter is already threatening to steal it from me and I did not even get it yet.

I just saw where the pilot took off his shirt to stop the bleeding and he called 911. If he had just left offering no assistance she very well may have bled to death. I have had people what to get close to check mine out, but when I warn them about a 2400 rpm head speed and then they see it, they don't want to get close at all.
