What happened to your boards and how did you get horizon to replace them? One of my servos is acting up, i wonder if they would replace the board? There really isnt much to solder to, not sure if it'll work, if I feel froggy i'll give it a try. You have alot more skill at these little birds than most.
That tree doesn't seem that big, get a few people and shake it a bit.

I bet the madhawks tail motor is where it is because of cooling, its right under the rotor, constant airflow over the heatsink. Just a thought.

What's wrong with your servo? Try taking it off the board and cleaning the contacts, make sure they're shaped correctly under there, put it back together, push up on the servo gear while pushing down on the tiny black plastic retainer on top, seat it snug but not tight, it should spin quick and easy when it moves, but NOT jiggle up and down. Put a tiny dot of superglue on top of the retainer and servo shaft once you've got it set right.

Chad, I can't view the video - it says it's private. I'm glad to see you got it back though - was there any damage?
I picked up this little ParkZone Ultra-Micro J-3 Cub and bound it to my mSR controller and it's hysterical fun. I flew it a few times early this morning and didn't even crash it. This thing is a lot of fun.

Still waiting on parts for the SR, and the MSR is shot so no flying for me. The servo on the MSR at about 50% on the cyclic stick it starts to occilate up an down on its own like its freaking out, it stops after a second but it made it wobble in the air. The hobby shop said it was probably bad. I havent even tried to solder the wires, there so small. I would like to just get a different one like the madhawk 300. I still have to contact horizon to see about getting it replaced. On another note I made some carbon fiber fins for it when its ready to fly.

I've been flying the Madhawk today and I am absolutely impressed with it. It's basically like a stabilized version of the Falcon 40. The Madhawk can hover hands-off, though it's a bit sluggish with the stock flybar weights. The stock aluminum rotor head has all roller bearings and it's extremely smooth as well as fully adjustable (even the flybar links, which use mixing arms - something the mSR and Falcon 40 do not have). It's an absolutely stunning heli for $119. Here's a video of it:

Seems like a sweet bird, makes me feel like the msr was a waste of money.

I figured there was a good reason. Just wondering. Well see what happens I, put in a repair request with horizon so I'll wait for a response. I hope to get the main gear on Fri.

I just bought that Parkzone J 3 cub last night also for $89. I have to recomend highly my local Ft Lauderdale / Plantation Hobbie store
Warrick Hobbie Store for their incredible customer service. They replaced my mCX twice this week which is unheard of in the store or on the web, 1st time for the servo problem, then 2nd my transmitter quit. So while they were test flying my 3rd mCX I had them bind that J 3 to the mCX transmitter. And the collection is growing! Just gotta come up with a better way to charge these batteries

OK, I fixed the video link.
I crashed my F40 about 50 feet up in a tree the other night due to an electronics glitch.
I shot it back down with my potato gun on the second try.
Here's the on-board crash video, and the result...
