I like the strobe LED. Have you see the larger helis with the LEDs in the blades? They have night time 3D competition too.

Find a calm day, fly it outside, and take video then! You need to go ahead and get a CP!!! I’d say a 450 of some kind.

Great detail Pyro. Do you lube that stuff? When I had my RC10 I had a tube of superlube or similar, synthetic lube I put on anything that moved. It was ideal for that because it didn't collect much dirt, but worked great on plastic to metal things also.

Some very cool posts Chad and that keychain videocam you have is impressive. I haven't modded my two little micro helis but I'm having a ton of fun with them. I fly the mSR the most now, but I still like the mCX sometimes too - I just wish it was faster.

You can put an mSR swashplate in the mCX to increase cyclic performance.

I just flew my performance-modified mSR outoodrs in a nice 5-10 breeze. I performed a back flip and a front somersault. Cool.

What do you think of the new Blade SR? I really have my eye on that one.

Jo, that's a cool heli but the Blade SR was just released for the same price and it's a collective pitch heli that's supposed to be much better. Not sure your heli would command that price now. Cool bird though.

The SR is just a plastic-frame ready-to-fly version of the CP+ with heavier wood blades, adjustable flybar weights, and a radio with custom "beginner" settings. From all the tail wag stories I've heard, it sounds like anyone with the budget is better off on the Blade 400.

I'll post a video soon of the mSR doing somersaults and backflips...

$349 for the Blade 400? Is that for the RTF version? If so, that's about $120 cheaper than anyone else has it for. That's unreal. I bought the Blade 400 mainly for the radio right now, and then when I'm ready, I'll fly that heli too.

Edit: I just checked, they have the RTF version for $399, which is an awesome price.

No, the 179 shipped is an SR RTF. And Greg, I hadn't checked the site for about a month. The 400 was 349 for a long time there.
