Well I went out and got a Msr for myself. I figured I better get a little practice before I go get the Blade SR (single rotor) coming out the end of the month. I saw it online and its not even out yet. Supposed to be real detuned and easy to fly. If you have a controler you can make it more aggressive. Looks cool and you can fly it outside. Gunna keep my eye out. Only 200$

I just got the Great Planes Real Flight Basic sim. Very cool and I can see it's a great learning tool. It's a heck of a lot of fun too.

Well I haven't crashed for a long time....and it was bound to happen. I was out flying yesterday, getting a little two brave, and ended up lawn darting it into the ground. Luckily it didn't do much damage at all. The main gear, main shaft, fly-bar, and canopy are crashed....but everything else is fine. Probably about $10 in parts. Not to bad I guess....

    Ouch. Nasty crash, Ian.
I've spent enough on mSR parts, I could have just bought another new one.
I've been posting on RCgroups lately as hydro_pyro (my Ebay name)
I've discovered a lot of cool stuff about the Blade mSR and I've been sharing a lot of photos and write-ups...

Question, can a real Heli perform stunts like these RCs?

There are a few that can good loops and rolls...but RC helis have a HUGE power to weight advantage over real heli's...... so you are never going to see any real sized heli's do the stuff the small rc ones can do.

This RedBull heli puts on a good show

Stop watching it hover and start flying it and you'll never notice the TBE.

It's not caused by electronics. Replace your flybar AND your links, seat the servo retainers tightly to eliminate the end-slop. The TBE will go away. It might also help to put a dot of CA on the shafts above them so they don't slip again.
