How do you like the Cessna? The flaps look almost like they work like the real thing!

Yes, they're very scale-like in function. Lots of deflection too, if I want it.

I've only flown it once, and it seemed OK.

The big difference is that it will behave more like a larger 90 degree flybar CP-- The heli will NOT self-correct, it will continue to stay at one attitude or head in one direction unless you tell it to do otherwise. No more "falling into a hover." I'm not sure if I can wait another month...

I hear you, on the waiting part. I've been putting in alot of time on the sim. I have been wanting to get a collective pitch. This is a perfect next heli for me. I'm sure it will five dollar me to death like the msr.

I flew the big Cessna 182 the other night-- Way cool, very relaxing to fly. I did a loop, a roll, and one perfect flared landing.

Great, more regulation - on model planes now.
I'm going to join, simply because of this. Thanks for posting Paul.

Is that the new CP Blade? Chad, if you've never flown a CP heli I highly recommend the Esky CP3 or Exceed Eagle 50/Walkera HM22E; both are incredible trainers and extremely inexpensive to repair. I learned on a CP3 and the 22E flies just as well (and forgiving). Heck I have an extra brand new 22E here I may use as a giveaway. They both fly just as well as the Blade SR, and that's the truth.

No problem. Good to see you posting. It is really more than a membership, you get liability insurance required by most fields and a monthly magazine.

I plowed a couple of runways on the ice this weekend. Until the ice melts, this is how I sceam and FLY...

There's a couple of spots in the video where I got far out and lost visual orientation and went into a death spiral dive for a second before re-gaining control. Flaps are visible on take-off and landing.

    <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7vgXGDBonP4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

This one was from yesterday, on a much shorter runway.
