Allison 17SST World Record
Anybody have pics of Benny Robertson's World Record Boat from 1975?
I have a chance to buy, what I think is the Hull, and am looking for some original pics.

I think he is talking about the 17 ft Bass boat with the inline t2 or T1. It also had a wing if I remember correctly.
The best source I know to make sure it is the boat would be Daris. Glen Reynold's may also know.

It was an XST with I think the T1 and if I remember right, it didn't have a wing like the v-bottom, but a cowl in the front for aero. I will ask Darris

I think Jeff_G and Benny are big buddies, so he might be a good source.

I can ask my dad (Raymond Calswell) he knew Benny pretty well. I miss seeing that V8 running behind his tunnel boat!

I asked my dad (Raymond Caldwell) and he said Benny should still be around the Charleston area. He owns or runs BAR Trucking. My dad said he hasn't spoken with him lately though. Hope that helps!

Benny said there is a picture somewhere on the Allison site, red and white boat. Had a plywood deck, T2X power and a wing. The V bottom is also on the site and was blue and white.
