    Chris, that 75 intake was not the lay down version it had the reeds like the 90 you posted, I will see if I have a photo of one at work.

    Vertical reeds were chosen for economy and to achieve a more compact package. Peformance/racing was a secondary consideration because these engines were developed primarily as service engines.

    I built a billet aluminum v4 xflow intake for a project. It uses Honda bike Reed cages. It came out really nice but I never finished the motor to put it on yet. Still planning to. Latest thought is efi it with individual throttle bodies and a microsquirt pro3. There's pics of it kicking around.

    I have the cad solid model for this too. perhaps its time to revisit this project. I could make new intake covers to bolt on standard V4 carbs too. would anyone seriously buy these if i made them? machined from billet...

    what reeds did you use, getting something with bigger area would help
