Those are fun boats.
I had a Flats Fisher 18 (Shallow Sport copy) w/ 150 Mariner Mag III back in the early 90's. Fun boat, would top out around 52 MPH. Could get a little loose in therear though.

ya eric i threw my 21pitch ski prop off the hydrostream on there and it got real loose around 50, figured i didnt wanna push it much more...
i wanna find me a good ole 2.0 to rebuild and throw on there to shed some weight a bit, but i dont wanna risk losing torque in the holeshot...

2005 Reaction 20' Flats Boat
Bought this boat from ultrafast he can tell you the history of the boat.
I replaced the Evinrude with a 225 Promax
This is the best Flats boat that I have ever fished in.
It is for sale on this sight.

Shallow
I think I figured out why my SCB gelcoat was falling off!The guy takes his molds to a Buoy mfg company and has them build his boats!Turns out his shop is just a place to assemble and rig boats after the Buoy company lays them up!No wonder the gel was chalking up,have you ever seen a buoy that had a smooth finish?I will say this, his rigging was very clean!I guess we need to hit more buoys to see how they hold up to rough water!

I don't know he history or specs of your Simon motor, but when I drove it after you sold that boat, 85-86 mph is what I got out of it w/ Pro ET (26 or 28 cant remember). I expected more.
Mid to upper 80's is typical performance for a current 1600#-1650# Topcat, F-22 w/ box stock 300XS/SM1.62. This boat was running a stock 28" Bravo One.
It is true the early (pre-2007) SCB's weighed less. Your boat was built in 2006.
The post 2007 models weigh around 1600#. I reserve the right to make changes with out notice.
What EXACTLY have I claimed these boats will do? Be specific.
If you have sincere concerns or questions just call me.

Who makes the transom jack on the yellow boat in the picture above, and where can I find more info on it? Thanks.
Any fool can make something complicated - it takes a genius to make it simple.
