    looking for prop info....

im thinking about buying my dad a new prop to try for christmas...its going on an eliminator 207 edge with a 4.0 v8...(its the boat in my sig. pic)...he currently runs 81-82 mph @ 6200rpm...would like to see 85mph one of these days...i dont know if it'll ever happen. its a heavy boat and im looking for somthing that'll give good all around lift...currently he runs a mazco worked 28 chopper...i remember reading about a big over the hub 4 blade in hot boat years ago that was suposed to be designed to give heavier boats more lift does anybody know what im talking about or can anyone recomend a good prop to try

    thanks

    shaun

You might try a lightning e.t. They give a little less bow lift and seem to let the whole boat fly. Been some blade breakage issues. soooo Second choice might be a 28 merc trophy 4 blade. They give good lift also.. If you want to really fly the bow, try a 27p tempest from merc...tons of bow lift.3 blade prop with a full size hub. I have ran all three and list them in order of performance. 20' flats boat 225 hp weight approx 1800# loaded with just me and a little fuel Choppers are usually good for max bow lift.....mine also turns 6000 at 83mph. Allways looking for a faster prop. So far lightning rules for speed!

    83 V-King, 96 Mariner, 200 hp ff block 2.5 w/a 28p choppa
