"Cheese it, the cops"! Longtime ago always said a kid screwing off with 4 foot tall friend outlaws, and the Cops coming? "Cheese it, the cops"

Spelled his name wrong it's Downie. But remember them back in the early 90's in Calgary, used to go to GM training courses and stay with a buddy in Calgary. Had beers with them before thy became famous, great down to earth boys, used to play the bigger bars back then.

Was gonna hit ya this 'morrow" but gonna ask now as Cobain from here. Back 70's I was solid "rock and roller". and never knew about the "Deadheads" so dedicated him, but was a kid here and "GF" in there late 20's renting here down from me. We hooked as dog lovers, music freaks, and made his own home made brew! Those were the cassette days and had over a 1000 in the rack! Damn hippies! Billy had blond hair down to his butt, and kinda "schooled me on the "Dead" "why"? And I said something about "don't know" about Nirvana, and he said. "like Niel Young right"" Thats Kurt style! But Billy got nailed testicle cancer at 30, spread to the stomach, then lungs, the the brain. His skull been off, long hair long gone, and his bald head looks like a road map now stitched up. His GF left him and now on his own (east coast family care) and the damn kid fought back 15 YEARS "winning cancer"! He did it, lives 20 miles north me now. But his Husky pup,"Fluffy" that was my last GR "best friend", and those two would wrestle an HOUR before worn out! But he was here with "Fluff" when I said I had to put Dusty with cancer. Then Fluffy is on last days life so Billy does a "lets party", as next day the needle to end the pain. Well, they hit the ocean to "watch the sunset", an share a "PB and Jelly" sandwich. So sun down, Billy carries him back the ride and comfy in the back seat now. When he got back? Fluffy passed on way back. No need the doing the dreaded needle now.

Sorry if getting emotional about this as Billys almost 50 now July 6th.
    Anyway, ever see Nirvana/Kurt live?

And this old fart remembers 60's when this "8 track" thing came into play. As in Chitown burbs then always the radio, WLS, and guys like Wolf man Jack "spun the tunes" as many others. DJ's if ya will. But think 1967 bought the 8 track. Had a bunch HS crowd my old Chevy, and put this in radio off. HA! They got bored fast and TURN THE RADIO BACK ON as also took up all 4 tracks the tape. It was the end the great 2 minute songs any band. Guess the "drugs" then kinda worked. Its still a classic to the day.

He's still at it and no spring chicken now, but? Still at it, just not the rockstar limelight. Has some hour long special PBS about now. 18 minutes him here, but "still has it"!
