e-tec 115ho or 130
I have a checkmate trimate 2. Everything new. Is there an advantage to the 115ho? Any help is great!

130
I'd get the 130 as you can have it set for the XD-100 oil for reduced consumption. You can't have the HO set for the reduced setting.
If you are going to run XD-50 then it probably does not matter. Really a matter of looks then if you like the HO decals or the more plain look of the regular E-Tecs.

Is there anyone doing any low water pick ups on these lower units? Got a jack plate that needs to be used!

The 115HO & 130 are the same motor with the same mapping. Just different hp decals.

Not trying to derail or start any sort of fight, but have you give nany thought to the new 115 XS or 125 Opti? Again not trying to star ta Merc Vs Rude thread, just thought I'd see if you looked at them and passed them up for any reason.

Nnt
Good advice NNT, unfortunately Mercury to my knowledge has not started shipping the 115 pro or 125 yet, even though it was announced about 6months ago...The 115ho/130 does put out more torque and Hp at ALL RPM ranges, go to walleyecentral.com to see the charts and information on why "they" say the Evinrude is superior to the Merc, most has to do with 3cylinder vs. Balanced v-4.....Hows Florida NNT? God I listen to Bubba The Love Sponge out of Clearwater,Fl, and your new is quite shocking, I swear alof of child abductions and rapes are occuring more in FL, unless we just hear about it more? Casey Anthony, the dude that threw the baby out on the interstate, the couple makin it with a 18month old baby, Its quite crazy man.....Brannon

yea the 3cyl vs V4 thing makes sense, just curious if he had looked into it is all.
Yes some of the crazier stories seem to get covered more here in Fl, it's sick, but remember 90% of the population down here is from wisc,il,mich,ny,nj,oh etc etc etcI'm currently boatless

Dude thats so true, so really all the Sickos are fine in the cold weather but they must get Frisky when they thaw out down south......Its really weird that NO Dealer has posted info on the 115 pro xs....funny thing NNT is the motor only produces 122, which is where the early 115 Etec was already at, according to my research....How was your summer? Im plannin on moving my Cold Body south, this snow sucks...
