how to check serialnumber Yamaha outboard engines ?

I want to know all info on Yamaha engine with serialnr 61HL300746.
I have no modelnr info, which makes it a bit harder...

    year ? 250 hp ?,...

I found a lot of info on Yam's modelnumbers syntax,
but I haven't found a website on which I can can check the serialnumber.

    Thanks!
    T.

The only source for that info would be Yamaha and only accessible by a dealer.

I've bought it, runs great !
    modelnr info = 200CETO

Yam dealer told me it's a 1990 200hp. However, second to last letter is "T" which makes it a 1995.
Could it be there is difference in numbering syntax since this engine is for the European market ?
Nobody -not even the Yam dealer- seems to know what "CETO" exactly means...

    Thx, T.

CETO is an international model. That serial number wont be in the U S system. A dealer on your side of the world would have to look it up

You might have a European model.
CETO is the international number used to identify options on the motor.
Used in Holland where I live aswell as in the rest of europe.
The T in CETO stands for trim, not the year.
Year should be a stand-alone letter on the id-plate:
    (European models only)
    D 90
    C 91
    B 92
    A 93
    Z 94
    Y 95
    X 96/><O></O>
    W 97<O></O>
    V 98<O></O>
    U 99<O></O>
    T 00<O></O>
    S 01<O></O>
    R 02<O></O>
    Q 03<O></O>
    P 04<O></O>
    N 05<O></O>
