Mercury Optimax 75hp -->115hp
Hi.
I`ve got a Mercury Optimax 75hp. mod no 1B480857. This was sold new in Norway in 2007.
I`ve been told that this engine can be converted to 115hp by changing the pcm unit and removing the air restrictor.
I need help to choose the correct pcm to do this convertion.
Is this really safe or will i kill the engine ? Where can i buy the correct part(s) ?
I`m also interrested in a smartcraft system to connect my chartplotter Northstar 657 to the engine.
Which parts do i need ?

There is a company in Italy that does Optimax PCM mods. I would check with them first. There is a link on my links page. (See below this post)

the block, comp pump, pcm and fuel pump are also diff. too costly. you would better off selling and buying a 115
Quit Hate'n and go test.
