Bullet bass boat crash Youtube
Just something that I think everyone should see a few times as a reminder of what COULD happen.
I don't know if this has been posted or not but worth a look. Glad the guy is alright and I don't know if he is a member here or not just found it and found it very amazing.

" I'm showing this in hopes that a lot of you Bass Boat Drivers have gotten lazy about putting your Vest on and hooking up your kill switch. All of you have hit a suprise wave from out of nowhere at speeds of 70 mph or more. Don't let this happen to you."
IF THE GUY DIDNT TRY 2 CROSS OVER WAVES @ THE SPEEDS HE WAS GOING THAT WOULDNT HAPPEN... THAT WAS NO SURPRISE WAKE HE SEEN IT AND EVEN KNEW WHERE THEY WHERE CUMMIN FROM WHEN HE CROSSED OVER...

I saw that posted on another forum. Holy crap, were the people there ignorant about outboards and bassboats especially.
Yeah, he is lucky. It was dumb driving.'86 Valero YT, 2.5 200

I might do something like that in a checkmate, but not that fast either. I had mine up on end but it was going straight. I was half a mile from a boat pulling tubes and poof there was a wave taller than the bow of my boat about 30' in front of me going wot ~50mph in a 17' boat. Yeah it was fun, but it did come out of nowhere and way down at the end of the lake I'd just run wot near the entire length of. There was that one other boat on plane on the whole lake, I'd never seen that happen before it only gets rough in the center. Been on lake MI a lot and I know it can happen, of course this guy drove right into a wake there was no rouge wave about it.
Great video, should be required for people new to boats of that capability. Glad the guy was ok."As government expands, liberty contracts." -Ronald Reagan

I did that once in a Vking I was 17yrs old.I was driving my dads friend's boat thought I was the baddest thing on the water. A jet boat sprayed me and I was trying to return the favor. I didn't get tossed out but it scared the hell out of me . Seemed like it took forever for the bilge pump to get the water out . That was almost 20yrs ago and I still to this day won't cut behind a boat like that.

been posted up here a couple times, but still fun to watch.
I would have taken the steering wheel/helm with me to the other side of the boat or still been in my seat!!! Whoops!

Yeah, that one was posted here before and our analysis is the driver was an idiot. You can see before he even started wave jumping that he could not handle the boat. Then come the wave jumping...... you jump a wave off a cruiser at that speed...... you need to not be suprised if you wake up in the hospital.
