My 13 Paradise was rated for a 60hp. I just took off the sticker, then it took this 225 Promax. GO BIG!!

The xs motor gearcase and props are too small for your boat. About 500 pounds total weight, boat, motor and driver is the limit. Same for the 45ss OMC motor.
A Tohatsu 50-55-60 would probably be great, maybe a 48-50-60 OMC twin

A mercury 44xs or a 25xs would work on the boat. Theres a jackplate on my boat and i can take it off.Its jest the 44xs mercury are hard to find and they are expensive!

No, it would not work ... the prop diameter for them is too small for your boat, the boat weighs TOO MUCH for the little props.

The boat that i have isent heavey at all! Its light and i thought a mercury 44xs would be too much power but if it wont fit why would mercury make a mercury 44xs for? And forgot to tell you i belive that the guy had a mercury 44xs on here also.

Do you know how long the shaft is for the mercury 44xs or the 25xs? Thanks!

Merc made the 44XS for the APBA D Stock Hydroplane class ... boats weigh about 125 pounds, max rig weight (including driver and full tank of fuel) about 500 pounds (most weigh 480) ... you are way over
The 25xs was made for the 25ss hydro class ... 400 pounds max ... you are way, way over

Yes, from the clamps to the center of the prop shaft of the 44xs is about 14 3/4" about 13 3/4" for the later style 25xs
both are unusable on your boat

I know you have Merc XS on the brain...
and I am mainly a merc guy, but a 60 OMC twin would be perfect for that. They are cheap, and if you want to learn about modifying a 2-stroke, they are easy to tear apart.

Mercs are not good motors to modify. The internal reed cage is nearly impossible to do anything with and likewise with the cylinder head cast to the cylinder as a single unit ... you can't port the motor and compensate by raising the compression.
OMC 60 twin, very good suggestion
