Hi, I have a 2004 merc 200xs short shaft I would like to put it on a STV Euro. Will it work? Can anyone help? Thanks.

yes if the transom is the 15 inch transom.If not then you will need a 9-10 inch setback (I believe) because when they build these boats they have to know what your engine hight is going to be.The standard transom is for the 20" motor.Or you can have a qualified fiberglass shop cut down the transom and then you can run the 15" motor without all that extra set back.The problem lies in that the steering gets in the way and you cant trim the motor

Hydrodynamics makes a jackplate so you can run a 15 inch motor on a 20 inch transom. Here is one that was for sale a while ago.
