Look forward to your progress. Are you doing any extra bracing to the cabin bulkheads that are always broke loose?

If you are meaning....
in the V berth then yes. Will grind out the old, poorly done tabing and re-do it.
BTW, notice my new storage openings in the cabin liner.........due to your pix's of yours.
Just replaced both bow hatches too with new Bomar's. HUGE improvement! Getting ready to order or make screens for them too.
Any head way on yours?
Thank you sir!

I am back on it again. I got side tracked other boat, flooding, 4$ gas. My goal is lake running May 25 not finished just able to go to the lake.
Almost finished filling about 900 transom holes. I moved the tabs to where they should have been the first time. The gil brackets are powdercoated. and just bought some new/used steering. Its all fiberglass now. I am still working on how I want to brace the transom. I am trying to keep as much walk room as possible, and thinking about just a fold down rear seat like some of the searay crusiers had in the 80s I will take some pics when I have something to show. Now if I could keep it warm enough to do some fiberglassing with out rain. I will get something done. wife said I better.
I look forward to your pad install and results.Branson, Mo

Trade you ......
direct sun shine for cold/rain.
I now know the schedule for when the sun is on the boat and when it is shade.
Doesn't seem like too big a deal until you try doing glass work About 50% difference in needed catylist between two and about 300% difference in working time
Get shade for about first 1 1/2 hrs in morning and then again late afternoon and plan all my glass work accordingly
Definately keeps you honest.
I also looked at multiple seating options in the back of the boat. Enough space to have plenty of options.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

All right, I give up...
why the come-alongs running forward from the transom? Did you leave the motors hanging and take out some bracing?
Gary--I looked for you and Cheryl a little at RR, but spent most of the day running to Kissimmee and back--great run! I was looking for the Sonic, but I am sure I would have recognized the Whaler if I saw it.Per Rock:

Tryin 2 de-stress it (while doing the glass),then everything should fall into place when he's done.

Yep....
what Bigbore said. Transom was pulled back almost an inch from lack of orig. support. Had all 3 come alongs hooked to a 4X4 inside the cabin door.
Had to do the same to my 1st Sonic.
As far as RR, Cheryl had to work 1/2 days so we only had Sat. afternoon and took the Whaler. Did make the trip across Lake Kissimmee and back though
We planned on staying a bit longer Sat. evening but Cheryl got sick from dinner and slept in the truck the last 2hrs we were there.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I feel lucky my transom is only out about 1/4"
I did have to fill 108 holes in the transom and that does not count the ones for the gil brackets
Your pics did give me some more ideas on bracing just have to wait for the rain to stop.Branson, Mo

Working on it.....
Have decided to do a complete rerig while this far into it so............lot's more $$$$$$$$$ and way more time Trailer is ugly as a box of rocks too so...
Bahama,....yep. Still looking at my transom and what holes to fill and which to re-use. Am leaning towards filling everything and starting with a clean sheet and maybe even building a new bracket.
Struggling with what to do for tabs now. I like what it has but they're huge, so are the pumps and has two pumps/motors comparred to the pleasure version Bennetts. But as said earlier, I've broken a couple of them and it ain't much fun.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
