    Buying a 2003 Evinrude 175 Ficht Ram

Anybody have an opinion on two issues: 1) I've heard that the Ficht brand had many problems - is this true of the 2003's - any thoughts on this engine; and 2) any idea what a 1997 Yamaha VMax 150 Twin Prop needing a new gear case is worth for it's parts?

2003 was the 1st year of the Bombardia Evinrude DI Engines. Superb motors, Fast & Reliable.

Here is the 2003 brochure. http://rides.webshots.com/album/5592...mh?vhost=rides

Go to page 17 for picture & page 23 for specs.

Get the motor serviced by a Certified Tech dealer, Lift the motor so the anti cavitation plate is visible above the surface of the water when running at 35mph plus

Prop motor to run at 5600 - 5700 at wide open throttle. Run with XD100 oil & you should be a happy man. These motors were superb.
