Mine has a 2.4 carbed bridgeport (aprox. 240 hp), 15" mid, CLE, with 10" of setback, and a 27" ET cut chopper. The previous owner ran it with the propshaft 1 3/4" above the pad and managed 93 mph.

I don't have the skills for that yet, but have managed 78 mph with it myself.

    Thanks!

    John,
I run a 10" jack plate and a 28P Chopper. Find the right height(been a while since I really checked). All weight in back (tank, battery, pumps). Low water pick and water preasure gauge is definately needed.

I run a 2.5 200 XRi, 6" Setback, 200 HP lower with Bob's Cone, 1" below the pad (haven't experimented much with moving it up, was my first year with the boat) 26" big ear chopper. Has been good for 85 MPH GPS.
