I saw the wingplate today-looks great! When Marty gets my Bravo done, maybe Rich can give me a quote for a bravo wingplate.

Hey
Well started the run and couldnt get over 2000 rpms. So I went right to Mercace at Fuller Marine and George stopped what he was doing to help me. Great people the Fullers are. Found I had connected two vacuum hoses to the map and altitude? sensors backwards. Back in the bay in an hour. Best run was 76.2 with more to go but it was getting pretty rough out and the wind was SE with a cross chop and an occasional big boat wake thrown in. Motor is now at 1" above pad. Water temp was 130-140 and water pressure was about 10lbs at wot. Deffinately not hitting the rev limiter but since my tach still doesnt work who knows. Rich doesnt think the Trophy is the right prop and I agree. Will have to try others. BUT HERE IS THE BOTTOM LINE. Dirk Pitt was right the notch I had put in over the winter was the best money spent on this hull. Once we raised the motor to 1 inch above the pad any chine walk was gone. You could stay in the gas till that rogue roller got you. Torque steer is almost gone but I contribute that into RLC brow beating me into changing my steering. Now if I can get the right helm I will be set. Currently running a Seastar Pro and I know I shouldnt. Those 9 turns lock to lock are murder. Good thing I got the guns for it
Thanks East Coast for notching my boat and Thanks to Debbie and George Fuller for always taking the time to help me out. RLC what can I say, thanks for all the fab work on wing and steering and good advice when I need it, we will get this thing into the mid 80's by MoleFest.

Mike
Im glad it works for you, as I explained the notch gives no speed gains, but lets you stay in it until you run out of gas
now just get Rich out of the boat and run it on 5 gals of fuel
ps
We ran the Skater with Richs 1 " spacer, it did exactly what we thought it would do21 Tuff, Mercury 300X

Well
Mercace dynoed my motor at 275+ hp with 250 fuel ecu and 300 pm ignition. Motor is a little fat. 300 heads will cure that and get me right to around 300 hp. Threw boat in the water for a bunch of passes. Ran 78 with 27 lapped trophy but either pro out or hit rev limiter. Tried raising the motor to 2 inches above but hot engine alarm kept sounding so down to 1 1/4 above and it ran right at 130. Put a 26 chopper on her and she ran 78.5 at 5700+ rpm. Yes Mercace fixed my tach. Go figure Livorsi tach had to be set on 4 to read right. Was calibrated with ddt while on dyno. Spot on now. RLC and Mercace both believe the 3.0 foot with the bobs nosecone is slowing me way down and need more skeg than currently running. Gonna try a sportsmaster just for the skeg to see if it will control better. THinking of a fleetmaster with big skeg if we can find one to borrow and try. Also gonna run a 24 chopper to see if we can get the revs up. THanks George, Rich, Kevin and Scott for the help. It was a fun evening of test and tuning.
