Nice looking boat. Very interesting that the helm is on the port side. There are so few inboard powered Challengers. Until recently I did not even know that some existed. The fact that it was stored inside and cared for by a loving "husband" will be good for the next lucky owner and the owners of similar boats. These boats are like collectible cars. We are only stewards while we own one. I can't wait to see more photos.

All the Volvo sterndrives of the 60's, 70's & 80's were left-hand rotation as standard. If the prop rotates counter(left), the helm is always on the port side. And vice-versa for standard(right) rotation drives/props. This applies to all single engine applications, whether an I/O or O/B. All the small Donzi's of yesteryear would be a good example of this. Anyone that has ever had the rare opportunity to pilot a single engine performance boat, with this rotation rigged in the opposite way, will certainly appreciate "why" this is done. The affect of torque, engine rotation & prop rotation, is exaggerated even further in a direct drive straight inboard single, with regards to performance & ride comfort.
