Marlin Boats?
A Friend of mine and I looked at a boat today. Says Marlin on the side in a big chrome emblem. It is about 17 feet or so long, shallow vee with no windshield. Looks to be from the mid seventies (metalflake finish). It also has a same era merc 115 - top of the cowl says 1150. Looks to be a decent little project boat. Anyone have any information about these boats? If so it would be greatly appreciated.

Yea I remember seeing them in the mid to late '70's, all their models resembled other makers at the time, the one you're talking about probably looks like an old Sidewinder or Infinity, they even made a '21 daycrusier jet that was a dog with the jet power. Typical constrution of the era if my memory serves me correctly.

Thanks
Its looks like it could be a pretty nice boat with a little tlc.
Anyone have a guess what something like this would be worth in fairly rough condition? The interior is intact, but faded. The hull is really faded. Structurally it appears ok. I'm assuming the motor runs, but I'm sure its pretty tired. My initial guess for an offer would be $500.~Jay
