That is another way to do it. Did that too. That way all you do is take the sharp 90 out of the tuner. Weld the tuner right back on after cutting the 90 bend off of it. Gotta make sure you get he water jacket to seal around it. If you get it right it WILL scavenge all the heat out. Megaphone tips get a little hot though....

Although the bulk of my experience is in cross flow engines, one could conclude there is plenty of room for improvement in that design that appears to have several right angles and ports feeding into other ports than compared with a 235/CCC
I dont think anyone has written the book on outboard loop charged megaphone exhaust yet?
No Patents that I can find compared to cross flow engines?
Are loop charged engine less sensative to exhaust than a Cross flow?
I must admit building a few Black V6's where we milled almost of the exhaust out of the chest had me wondering but that was the standard a few years ago.
Anyone want to educate me?Last edited by powerabout; 10-10-2008 at 10:05 AM.

Remember the cross flow and race 8 were cast to have bolt on exhaust, the looper 6 when cut that far open tends to crack the block at the top edge along the cylinder.

even after cleanin that up
It will take a ton of filler 2 mat equell surfaces,u better off adating a plate directly over the holes n fabricatin tubes 2 run out the back a the hood.u will have fun jetting that 1,not sure if u could get u hands on orffices big enough.
