tripple engine skater port and center do not turn past 3k rpm. some times 2k rpm and then kicks up to 3 and back down again. surge at idle also. temp is good, no alarms, and new plugs. fuel pressure steady at 39,40 engines feel lazy but in neutral they rev fine. please help.

if these 2 engines developed these same symptoms together then i would focus on rigging in the boat. try isolating battery power to each engine. disconnect the good engine. i would not run any battery switches on both. cross feeding power can burn stuff up. good luck on that one

as helmut stated. the coils get they're voltage through two relays located on rubber groments under the ECU. they could be bad due to ,"rigging" also a bad connection in the harness, at the mota's could be causing the relay to lose voltage. This is definatly something to do with the rigging. I have had this problem before and am giving you advice based on previous experiences. the 280 is a pretty simple mota, but only takes 1 glitch and a 150 could beat ya the boat doesn't really, "vibrate in nuetral, which may make the short unnoticable, or not occur. put it in gear and ya get a lil vibration causing the Electrical short, bad connection, loose connection. maybe the pins in the harness connecting to the mota may need to be, "opened up with a tiny flathead.
