Droped the boat off in Indiana last sunday March the 1st to get the new exhaust built, part of the last phase to the new up-grades. That was a trip, it snowed from Bowlingreen Ky to In. Dont care to ever do that again!
I was quite impressed with some of the work these guys turn out up there. They build custom exhaust systems for most of the tractor pull teams and drag racers from all over the country. This is a new chalange for them building water jacketed zoomies out of stainless steel but seeing there shop and work they turned out, I am very cofident they will do a great job.

I can hardly wait to hear it with the zoomies and get it tuned so I can get the new jet set-up for top speed. I have no idea what it's going to do with the new pump and configuration but I don't think I will be disapointed.

H O L E E C R A P ! ! !
that is absolutly amazing! congratulations on a truly mind boggling restoration! I think you should post this on the general discussion forums, the vision you had is one of the most breathtaking attempts I've ever seen! as a kid here in Jax, Terry Marine was a mercury dealer on main street, Bob Terry was the owners name, quite a character (once got his merc dealership pulled for running Carl Keikahfers son off a race course) sold Taylor jet boats also and got a pretty large group of them in the Jax outboard club, all had 455 olds motors and 1 had 454 chevy. we would go on cruises with 20-30 boats as a club and the "jet set" would leave an hour or so after the 30 mph croud and show up at the same time or pass us. the top speed was around 65 mph for um, but they were a step above tahiti's and sidewinders. the SS letters came from GM badges and they also had one SJ from pontiac grand prix"s.thanks for sharing, some of the painter's and glass people on the general page would be impressed I'm sure! fun out
most overnite successes usually take at least 10 years

Pipes are install and ready to re-tune the fuel injection as soon as the weather lets up. Still have to make trim ring where the pipes go through the engine hatch but that will be after River Ranch next weekend. Ready to go!

Done 4 hours of tuning on the fuel injection the other day and now im deaf!
Holy crap them things are loud. Next upgrade to the boat, ear plug dispenser.
It does sound good though. Next, after River Ranch is to start tweeking out the new jet drive to work on top speed.
