I fit it by moving the battery from in front of the tank to outboard over the sponson. Affording to fill it up? A good job!! My other boat holds 700 gallons of diesel, That one hurts a little more to fill up!
If you look at the pic, when I had the new tank made everything from the fuel fill to the sender is how much longer I made it than the original tank.

Wouldnt that 33 gallons add like another 270 pounds?8 pounds a gallon.I thought weight killed these boats???That would be nice for long cruises though but man thats alot of gas in a fast boat!!!

The weight in the back doesnt seem too bad, The more I move the weight back the better it runs. It definately doesnt like it up front, But with the 300 I have on there I didnt want to be stopping at a gas station all the time. I like to cruise around and its not so bad on fuel till you push the throttle all the way down. I can cruise at at 45- 50 mph at 3800 rpms. If you dont want the extra weight, you dont have to fill it up, but its nice to have the range when you want it.

I have a 18gal in mine. When im rippin it dont take long to drink it dry.I did think of having like a 25gal made.I plan on Boating in areas that im not familar with next season,River runs etc...33gal just sounds like alot, but if it works, good for you because its never cool running out of gas on the water

18 gallons is usually what I burn playing around in a day.More if I really get onit, So the extra fuel definately helps, and usually gas being another 1.00 a gallon on the water it all helps. Most I burned in a day running around in the keys was about 36 gallons and buying the extra fuel at 5.15 a gallon on the water sucked!!

They are going to start the paint next week,I'm figuring another 3 weeks and then I can start rerigging it. They have been doing all the fiberglass work first. I had them redo all the bulkheads and floors and also added the stringers in the front and go all the way to the bow with them, I cant believe this boat never had them properly installed and its still in one piece.

Thats great! I am sure they built the boat right since its fairly new, but make sure the stringers go most of the way to the bow. I have seen them break in half and its not pretty.
