water lines on a drag????
this is a little different set up than i'm use to running.. i always have ran to dump hoses off the top of the heads... 1/8" washers. blocked plate for the popit valve would be!!!!!!!!!!!!
this motor has a 90* elbow with a hose coming out of the block off plate...... the 2 dump hoses coming from the top of the heads go together and dump out the other side... i'm not getting water from that side unless it is turning about 3000 rpm's...... the temp is reading great at idle 115*... the block feels nice and cool just no water coming out of the top of the heads........ is this normal?????????????? is it just all dumping out the other hose??? there is a lot of water coming out that hose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plenty of water coming out of the exhaust snout too... new water pump and housing.....
thanks,

Thats normal Roy..
I plumb my engines with the stock TEE on the port side head with a cross over hose from the starboard head to the port then exit. I also use the elbow on the poppet cover as an exit for spent water also. I use the restrictor discs with an 1/8" hole or stock sized ( I guess its according to the ambient temps of the lake/river water ) . Its normal for a 2.5 to not pee with a very strong stream from the heads until the revs are up...

With no water restriction( thermostats) the only way the heads will dump is when the water pump can overcome that lack of restriction (RPM!)
Sounds like your motor runnin' purrfect!
No matter what anybody tells you, don't enlarge the holes in the washers, their only purpose is to vent air out of the block!
